RK Chain The Choice of Champions! Colton Haaker Goes Two-For-Two at AMA Endurocross Series Double-Header Weekend Haaker had a rough start to the day with a big crash in practice but he quickly turned things around in race one as he powered his Husqvarna FX350 into second place off the start. A couple of mistakes cost him a position with only two laps to go and he ultimately finished on the podium in third.... With an inverted start in Moto 2, Haaker lined up in the second row but that didn’t stop him from charging his way up to third off the start. He made the pass for first coming into the second lap and from there he maintained a solid pace to win the race two by nearly six seconds. In race three, Haaker shot off the line to capture the holeshot and he once again set a pace that could not be matched early on. With consistently fast laptimes, the three-time champion raced his way to a 5.8-second victory in the final moto to cap off a successful weekend in southern California. With four total wins through the first five rounds, FMF KTM Factory Racing Team’s Taylor Robert remains in the championship lead. ... On day one, Robert got off to a second-place start aboard his KTM 450 XC-F but a crash early on caused him to lose time to the leader. He put his head down and charged to reel in the leader, Dante Oliveira, making a strategic decision to pit opposite of Oliveira on lap seven and it paid off as he overtook the lead. However, Robert made a couple of mistakes which allowed Oliveira to get back by and from there it was a head-to-head battle to the finish. The Reigning Champion attempted to speed up his pit stop in an effort to make up some time but that proved unsuccessful as he ended up losing about 20 seconds late in the race to ultimately finish off the top step of the podium. On day two, Robert grabbed the holeshot going up the Talladega section but he got pinched off going into the second turn and he dropped back to third. He quickly charged up to second before making his way into the lead halfway through the first lap. Despite a couple tip overs, Robert was able to maintain the lead from start to finish, besting his competition by 11 seconds for the win.
