Rising Sun Karate will be closed Monday the 31st for Memorial Day. We are looking forward to moving to the next phase in June and will be reopening to full capacity.

There was an error with the camp dates on the previous post. Please note the correct dates for each camp: July 12-16 Samurai Sword/Bokken July 19-23 Extreme Martial Arts & Accelerated Belt Training July 26-30 Tournament Team Camp... Samurai Sword Camp and Extreme Martial Arts Camp are open to all, Rising Sun Karate members and non-members!

Covid-19 put Karate tournaments on hold for over a year. Yesterday Logan and Adriana competed for the first time in over 14 months. Both aged up into divisions with older competitors, and Logan entered his first ever elite divisions. After fighting in really tough matches, Logan and Adriana both placed third in Kumite. It’s a great start on the road back. I am so proud that they continued to train and persevere during a difficult time. They never let the pandemic sidetrack them from their goal of making the US Team.

Hello Rising Sun Families, As you may already be aware, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the State of California has mandated the reclosure of indoor operations of certain business sectors. Gyms and fitness centers such as Rising Sun Karate are included in the business sectors that are required to shut down once more. Though we are disappointed that our in-person classes will again need to be put on pause, our primary concern continues to be the health and well-being of ...our students and our community. As outdoor activity remains a safe alternative to indoor group exercise at this time, we are currently exploring ways to incorporate in-person training outside of the dojo, and hope to have an update for you soon. Until then, please join us for regularly scheduled Zoom classes! We are going to be flexible and persevere as all warriors do, and we will get through this together! Our little rangers were rocking it today. We ended class with a obstacle course while practicing social distancing to help them be prepared for what school will be like in the fall.

Our students are super excited to be back in classes.
