We are standing with our law enforcement community against the rash of shootings and murders occurring in our city on almost a daily basis. While we are in a season of reevaluating how policing is done especially in our most vulnerable neighborhoods and communities, it is imperative that we encourage law enforcement to hold people in our community accountable for their actions and fulfill their responsibility as agents of justice. There has been a tremendous increase in the n...umber of legal and illegal weapons on the streets of our city. Our youth and children are carrying guns as if they are a fashion statement and part of their daily wardrobe. People are shooting into crowds and killing innocent people at random. Life is much too valuable to allow this to continue. So we seek the peace of our city where We have been divinely placed and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace we will have peace. Jeremiah 29:7 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said that, True peace is not merely the absence of tension; it is the presence of justice."
