We are sad to announce that the 2020 Bass Derby and Festival has been cancelled. We hope to see everyone in the future.

Rio Sands Lodge Notice to Customers Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) The health and safety of our employees, and guests is of utmost importance to us at the Rio Sands Lodge. We have been closely monitoring the events of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); we want to share some actions we are taking during this time of concern.... We will continue to remain open and available to serve you in a limited capacity. Due to shelter in place concerns we are only allowing customers who are traveling for business at this time. We are communicating regularly with our employees on best safety practices from the CDC and other agencies. Among actions included: CDC recommended cleaning practices have been implemented, including more frequent cleaning of shared surfaces, door handles, customer sign-in areas and equipment, and of course frequent hand-washing Employees who experience any signs of illness are staying home Housekeeping services are limited. Housekeepers are putting extra supplies in rooms prior to check in and will not enter your room during your stay. If you need extra towels or supplies, you can request them through the front desk and we will make arrangements.

Carefree--Rio Vista is outside the PG&E cutoff area, and our Derby & Festival runs primarily on generators. So come on down Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The weat...her is supposed to be gorgeous (high 70s, low 80s), and we've got food, drink, free musical entertainment, arts & crafts, carnival rides, fireworks and much more. See more

Our large lawn area is being re-done to be more drought efficient. The changes are amazing so far!
