6 TIPS TO MAINTAIN YOUR GARDEN 1. QUENCH THEIR THIRST- Most plants like to be consistently moist. Not soggy and not bone dry. 2. FEED THEM- Include a slow release fertilizer at planting time; then continue to keep them happy with a once a week or twice monthly, water soluble boost. 3. SCOUT FOR PESTS-Get in the habit of examining your plants every few days to catch insect / disease problems before they get out of hand. ... 4. WEED EARLY / WEED OFTEN- Enough said on that... 5. HARVEST REGULARLY- It encourages plants to continue producing! 6. DEADHEAD FLOWERS- Many annuals will continue to bloom into Fall if you regularly remove spent blooms.
