The Rideout Health Foundation 30.10.2020

See Dolly's story here:

The Rideout Health Foundation 16.10.2020

For 30 years, our annual Fairway to Health has raised funds to support key programs, technology and initiatives at Adventist Health and Rideout. Every year our community has rallied together to support this Golf and Giving event. This year continues to be one of uncertainly and change, from the COVID-19 pandemic to the terrible wildfires that are threatening our friends and neighbors. As the clouds of smoke and ash roll over us, we know homes, property, and lives are being ...lost. Our 2020 Fairway to Health was originally scheduled for May 1, and rescheduled for September 11. While it was not an easy decision to postpone the event twice, it was the right decision, made out of an abundance of caution and concern for our participants, volunteers and staff. Of course the story does not end there. Funds raised from the Fairway to Health directly benefit the health and wellbeing of our community. This year the funds raised would advance community health initiatives like our Street Nursing and Food Insecurity programs. Our wonderful sponsors, donors and friends rallied around us and agreed to either donate their sponsorship or roll their support to next year.

SAYLOVE. It is a belief closely held by Jeff Stephens. One that is vital for a good, healthy community. Jeff saw our community deteriorating prior to SAYLOVE. Divisions and problems were seemingly too big and insurmountable. SAYLOVE was needed to bring the community together. Why I care about Adventist Health and Rideout? It is our primary hospital, with dedicated staff, who serve with love for the Yuba Sutter community. According to Jeff, The one memory that stands out ...most in this crisis is how the community came together and rallied for the needs of the COVID-19 Task force. Whether it was an individual, service group or volunteers, everyone just stepped up and wanted to help in any way they could. Thank you Jeff Stephens and @sutterandyubalove for supporting Adventist Health and Rideout and enhancing the health of our community.

The Rideout Foundation thanks the Rotary Club of Marysville for supporting Adventist Health and Rideout as part of the Yuba-Sutter Shields project. The project has delivered over 800 face shields to emergency responders and health-care workers. 275 of these face shields were delivered to Adventist Health and Rideout. Thank you to all who have donated and to our Rotarians for living up to your motto of Service Above Self!

Today, Sarb Thiara and the Thiara Company dropped off 2000 N95 masks and 1600 oz of sanitizer. Thank you to team Thiara for your continued support during this pandemic. Adventist Health and Rideout is blessed to be surrounded by an incredibly generous community. Individuals, businesses, churches, and quilting guilds have all stepped up to support our healthcare workers in this pandemic. Nearly 60,000 PPE items have been donated to date, along with hundreds of meals and thank you notes to our caregivers. Thank you for rallying behind us.

We are inspired by those whose values and commitments shine through them. At Adventist Health and Rideout, we’re lucky to be surrounded by physicians, nurses, clinicians and staff who are Made for More. They lead by going above and beyond their role to care for our patients. These are our heroes in the fight against COVID-19. Honor them by making a charitable gift to the Rideout Foundation. To lend your support, visit https://rideoutgiving.adventisthealth.org/ and make a tax deductible gift. We are inspired by the efforts of Jeff Mayo, a hero who is making a difference at Adventist Health and Rideout. #TogetherInspired #COVID_19 #HealthcareHeroes #IAmMadeForMore

Today is #NationalNursesDay and the kickoff of #NursesWeek2020! #TogetherInspired by these #HealthCareHeroes the essential women and men who, arguably, have the most dangerous job in health care. Thank you for choosing selflessness over self-preservation not just today in the war against #COVID19, but every time you step into your scrubs. #IAmMadeForMore
