Finland's U.S. Ambassador Robert Frank Pence, wanted to honor Gene Winfield by visiting him personally at the hospital in Lahti. However, tough Gene chosed to n...ot meet the ambassador in bed but went to meet with the ambassador with the help of crushes and a wheel chair. The warm meeting was filled with smiles and stories about mutual interests and memories. Both men hopes to see each other in Finland, again, in approximately a year from now.
