This is Doug, our bottle lamb from last year:) We now have a small sheep herd that we primarily use for weed suppression & eating fields and areas close to the house for fire protection. It has taken a couple years to train our older Ewes on the electric fence, and we finally have a herd we feel respects the fence...as much as a sheep can Sheep can be an incredible tool in California ranching as they do amazing in this hot climate. The grasses if California! Ok I don’t have them all, but this was a bull of the grasses we found I. The pasture we just moved the cattle into. It is dry out there but the diversity of grasses should be helpful for our cattle’s nutrition! #californiagrasses
