The boys did it again! Temecula United BU-13 went down to Escondido and won the championship for the Kickin' It Challenge soccer tournament this weekend. The lads played some excellent soccer posting clean sheets in the first two matches with wins of 1-0 over Poway and 2-0 of Coronado. The third match in group play was a battle against a well prepared San Marcos team but the boys fought from behind and managed a 4-3 victory. The Championship Match was Sunday afternoon and... the boys were pitted against Coronado. Both teams held to a 0-0 tie by half. Early in the 2nd half the boys put one away and then played some stout defense to hold the challengers to no goals scored and closed out the weekend with a 1-0 victory in the championship. 3 clean sheets out of 4 matches is impressive on any weekend. They again raised the championship cup to the cheers of their many supporters. Two tourneys and two championships brought home so far. Keep it up boys. See more
