I know a lot of people that are absolutely unstoppable in the gym but then they compete in front of people they are half of what they are actually capable of . It’s sad really because the nerves get to people so much that we cant see their true capabilities. The best thing I get from traveling with these kids is helping them through that the best I can . Nerves will always be there . I don’t care who says they don’t get nervous before super fights / tournaments they are lying... . It’s whoever can deal with those emotions the best when the time comes that will make the champion . Watching kids be able to compete in front of tons of people and still perform at their best is so rewarding . I’ve competed to many times to count and I still get the butterflies in my stomach before each one . Being able to relate to what your students go through before each challenge is so important to coaching . I’m glad I’m able to relate and also give them some advice on how to deal with those nerves . @arjuna_brown_bjj @_mario.alvarado_ @kanoa_brown_bjj @seraf_brown_bjj . I hope one day I’ll be able to teach my daughter how to deal with those nerves and emotions before fighting . I feel like there are so many champions we haven’t even heard of because of these nerves .
