We do lots of work for customers including waterslide decals. Here is a transitional logo that was applied to a customer's guitar after shading the headstock with color and adding a few coats of clear lacquer.
Every once in a while a real gem comes through our shop. This 1934 Gibson L-50 is no exception. The first few years this guitar was made it had a standard soundhole as opposed to the archtops we were used to seeing back then. It is absolutely amazing!
Here is a cool guitar we are putting together at Rhythm and Notes. It's a 1960s Holiday Bob (Bobkat) body and a real Harmony Bobkat neck. Because it is a mishmash of parts you can find it here cheaper. Awesome vintage tone for an affordable price.
A customer brought in a really beat up '77 Telecaster. The first 3 frets and lots of wear and deep grooves cut in them. We removed them and installed new frets to keep this guitar playing!
We do lots of repairs here at R&N... This is the neck from a 1958 Fender Duo Sonic. Guitars like this were made popular by surf rock bands of the past like The Belairs. Eddie Betrand was a customer and local until his untimely passing. This one will be restored eventually.
If you shop anywhere else then the doll will come after you!
Our friend, Dave Stucken, of The Breakdowns recently sold us his '56 VOS Gibson Les Paul Goldtop... He left us a nice message on the back of the case. You can download his new song for free below.
Our friends at Road Dog Case Company can handle your every flight case need! Just give them a call.
The other day one of Robert 'Kris' Derrig's friends stopped by and showed me something cool. It was a sister guitar to the one that Slash used on the G n R Appetite for Destruction Album. Kris Derrig built a batch of guitars back in the 80s and the manager of Guns and Roses purchased one for Slash. The Gibson signature guitar is actually a copy of one of these 'ghost built' instruments. The next guitar is a real Gibson that was refinished black.
