San Diego Unified School District has announced that it still may be months before children return to classrooms. The COVID-19 epidemic has turned many of our lives upside down. This year has presented challenges unique for every profession, but the teachers in our community are especially vulnerable. We still do not know how extended classroom shutdowns will affect educating professional careers. We are not out of this crisis yet, and the road ahead is still obscured by uncertainty, but we will continue to stand by the educators of our children to make sure they have every resource for their financial security.
