Today we celebrate Juneteenth! 94-year-old activist Opal Lee did not let her age deter her mission to make Juneteenth an official federal holiday, coming up with a plan in 2016 to walk from her hometown in Fort Worth to Washington, D.C.

Residents got crafty making gorgeous fall wreaths that they can't wait to hang up!

Revel believes that being kind makes the world a better place to be. We are thrilled to be celebrating acts of kindness, big and small, across our communities. At Revel Spokane, the lifestyle team delivered pumpkin cookies purchased by residents for other residents, while resident Pat's shirt was right on theme. And at Revel Lodi, residents and team members made kindness pumpkins to give to one another.

Our Revel Living Guides were treated to a delicious kick-off dinner complete with Beet Salad, Ceviche, Halibut or Ribeye, and Blueberry Compote Cheesecake. Yum!

Last month we made cheesecake bites our Taste of Revel category. The special treat was hugely popular among residents and congratulations goes to the winners, Revel Vegas! This month's category is sweet breads - we can't wait!

There are always lots of fun activities happening with our Men's and Women's Clubs, from game day viewing parties to flower arranging!

We put together a special dinner to thank all of our residents who have referred friends to Revel Lodi. The meal included a Smoked Salmon Crostini amuse-bouche, Wild Mushroom Medley appetizer, Grilled Lamb Chops or Pan Seared Scallops with Squash Risotto for the entrée and Crème Brûlée with Blueberry Compote for dessert. Wine pairing with each course completed the amazing meal!

The culinary experiences at our Revel communities are designed to provide residents with choice and flexibility while delivering made-from-scratch, seasonal menus cooked to order and exceptional service. The Lodi Grape Festival was canceled this year, so we hosted a Revel Lodi Grape Festival to celebrate in our community! Residents had fun participating in activities, learning Lodi's history, looking at resident artwork, and having wine tastings throughout the day.

Our August Taste of Revel category was cold soups. We had a bunch of excellent submissions and the winner was a Watermelon Gazpacho from Province Springs. Congratulations John, Chef Ben and the team at Province Springs for winning the August Taste of Revel!

Revel Lodi residents took part in multiple wine-related activities, starting with a fun craft making glitter wine glasses and then enjoying a wine tasting event!
