We have entered into the Lion’s Gate portal, the annual alignment of the star Sirius and the Earth and the Sun. The Lion’s Gate brings in a window of time where the Sun and Sirius (also known as the Spiritual Sun) rise together. Sirius is a potent source of spiritual light on our planet (it’s 26 times bigger than the sun) and it directly influences both our physical and light bodies. This alignment opens up a portal of energy that runs from 7/25 through 8/12 and peaks on 8/8..., that enables us to release lower density energy and cleanse our vibrations. We have many stored emotions in our bodies and when we release out of stored fear, anger, judgement etc we can open up to more love, compassion and joy. By releasing out of these lower density vibrations we can open up to receive and take in more light. The last time I offered a Lion’s Gate call was in 2019, which seems like eons ago, it was the last time I got to see my family in person (I’m a Jersey girl living in California and all my family is back east) and I couldn’t help but reflect on all the change of the last two years. In thinking about this portal window fear is what came up to release out of. We did a big cleanout on all the fear injected into our lives in the last year and a half with the coronavirus and also from climate change, and then connected in with the energies of Leo and the Lion, bringing in our own innate bravery, power, courage, confidence, magnetism, leadership, and our ability to speak up for ourselves and others. I lost a friend to cancer this week. Silver Lucy is/was a one-of-kind force of nature, literally the most creative, stylish, talented, generous, kind, witty, loving person you could meet. She had a Light that made us all shine brighter in her presence and for days/weeks longer. I want to honor Silver by keeping her eye out for beauty and whimsy and inspiration in art and design and nature and finding it everywhere I look. The ‘Painted Gentlemen’ is an art installation in SF a...longside the famed ‘Painted Ladies’ in Alamo Square. The series of murals is brightening up the fence around an empty lot that is under construction. The murals were recently rotated and have been painted with the theme ‘Inspired by Hope’ in honor of the 70th anniversary of St. Anthony’s. When I saw the hearts I knew Silver would love this one. As we turn the corner to the next season this Equinox asks us what we need to harvest in order to come into balance. It’s time to reflect back on the summer months and see what we have learned, where have we grown and where we feel stuck. As we move into Autumn the gaze starts to turn inward - let these answers and this inquiry start to inform your next few months. What are you harvesting? ... What is ready to be turned into fertilizer? As the world continues to be shaken up around us where do we find our center and grounding?
