Often when people hear the term "plastic free" they may think of a tiny mason jar containing someone's whole year worth of garbage. This July, let's expand our definition of "plastic free" to include all efforts to #reduce plastic. Remember even if your efforts don't result in zero waste, your actions to reduce make an immense impact.
Planning a camping trip this summer? See if you can do it waste-free! A good place to start is meals. Pack a cooler for water and reusable bowls, utensils, and napkins. Wash up with an eco-friendly bar of soap. Don't forget to pack out and #leavenotrace! #zerowastecamping
Summertime meals grilling season! Look into propane cylinder exchange programs for your empty propane tanks. If your propane tank isn’t empty, it must be disposed of through San Mateo County’s Household Hazardous Waste program. Visit the HHW website for more info: https://bit.ly/3yQEbbM #TipTuesday

Not so #FunFactFriday! According to the EPA, the average person living in the U.S. produces 4.9 pounds of waste every day. Over the course of a lifetime just one American will produce over 70 tons of waste!
