As you might expect, the foods you eat can have a pretty big impact on how your body functions. Foods That Boost Your Metabolism: Protein-rich foods: Eating foods high in protein (meat, eggs, fish, legumes, tofu, etc.) rev up your metabolism because it takes your body more energy to digest them.... Legumes: On top of containing plenty of plant-based protein, legumes (lentils, black beans, kidney beans, etc.) also contain resistant starch. That’s a form of fiber your body can’t digest. Coffee and tea: The amount of caffeine in an average cup of coffee (around 100 mg) appears to boost your metabolism by up to 11% for up to 2 hours. Ginger: Adding a heaping teaspoon (2 grams) of ginger powder to hot water and drinking it after breakfast raised metabolism Apple Cider Vinegar: Promotes the production of an enzyme called AMPK, which lowers the rate of fat storage and boosts the rate of fat burning. Water: Drinking 2 cups of cold water temporarily boosts your metabolism by as much 30% for up to 40 minutes after you drink it. Chili peppers: Add some red pepper to your dinner to fire up your metabolism!

"Life is Full of Ups and Downs... that has been very reflective in my weight over the years..mostly with it being UP...So seeing how far I have come since I decided to give Results Transformation Center's 6 Week Challenge a Try back in April of 2016 is overwhelming to me! I had finished 4 ROUNDS Back to Back last October and so after being off the food plan for the past 10 months, I saw the scale start climbing back... up. I kept trying on my own but was unsuccessful in STTFP Without the discipline of being on an "Actual Challenge". So I decided to do a Members Challenge and let me tell you it was EXACTLY what I needed to Refocus on my Goals. There will be back slides on this journey from time to time but at least we know what to do when that happens! I know I'm not alone in this area and we are all Fit Fam and we are here to help one another and encourage each other and remind all that there is no shame in having to hit that Reset Button and remember our WHY'S and that each and everyone of us is WORTH IT!!! Thank You to all the Fantastic Coaches that help to Encourage us and Push us Past our own Mental Road Blocks!
