Start-up boosts the success rate of Software development projects with a free effort estimator application The Pocket Estimator application calculates development effort of software projects within seconds. This absolutely free estimator doesn’t require deeper IT knowledge to use it. The mobile tool enables the user to come up with realistic software development estimations in order to contribute to the success of a project. With this innovative and free App the Austrian IT... start-up ReqPOOL GmbH enables users to calculate cost estimations of software development projects. The application is called Pocket Estimator and it is available for iPhone, Android as well as an online-service (www.pocketestimator.com). The goal is to increase the success rate of projects by making the actual costs transparent upfront. At the same time IT service providers as well as software development companies can present themselves to potential clients on this platform. There is a wide variety of possible applications for this tool: They range from reviewing existing tenders to quick project estimations for business planning purposes. The application is designed for users that do not have a deeper IT knowledge - it should help to better assess projects that require more than one person for implementation. The estimation of project costs is calculated by simultaneously applying an expert algorithm and a learn algorithm.
