Kylie loved coming to work at Reptile Island. Many of our long time customers use to get greeted by her at the door. Over the past years she was retired and stayed at home with us, I just wanted to share this with you all in case you were one of the lucky ones to know her. Thanks https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10222316107590359&id=1196711832

This is a species of Tailless Whip Scorpion ( ) native to Central America. These specimens stay smaller compared to the larger ones from Africa, and can be kept communal if given proper enclosure and hiding spaces. These mostly feed on small insect prey (crickets, roaches worms) once or twice a week. #paraphrynus #phrynus #whiptail #scorpion #scorpions #scorpionsofinstagram #whip #tail #scorpionpose #arachnid #arachnids #arachnidsofinstagram #arachnidsoftheworld #invert #invertebrates #tarantula #insect #insectsofinstagram #insectphotography #animals #bug #spider #animal #yorbalinda #orangecounty #southerncalifornia #animalphotography #reptileisland #reptileislandyorbalinda #tkrandp

Isopods and Springtails are back with a few new species! These microfauna help with the decomposition of animal waste as well as plant materials. They will keep the ecosystem in your terrarium fresh and thriving.
