Roger Michael Tellyer, 68, of Bakersfield passed away August 19, 2015 with his son and daughters by his side after a short battle with cancer. He was born December 25, 1946 in Fresno California. Roger was currently the Vice President of the Bakersfield Toy Run. Roger was known to the Bakersfield Motorcycle community after spending his last years in the Motorcycle retail division at Bikers Outlet and Renegade Classics. Roger was also an engraver in Kern County for 30 years. R...oger is survived by his Daughters; Tonya Tellyer-Pollard, Jackie Tellyer-Jeter and a son, Todd Tellyer. He also is survived by his Son in Law, Shane Pollard. Also survived by the loves of his life and what he lived for every day, his grand-daughter Alexandria Dion, grand-son Sean Farley and great grand-son Sebastian (Bash) Smith. Roger leaves behind a host of friends. Funeral services will not be held at Rogers’s request. Instead a Celebration will take place on September 19, 2015. The 2011 Bakersfield Toy Run was a huge success!! As always the charity of so many has made a great impact on the community and the work of the Salvation Army. This event brings so much to those that have less than most. A special Thank You to all the volunteers, riders, vendors, Bakersfield Toy Run Board for their hours of planing, a special thank you to Tonya for her hard work and to everyone who supported the event. Today's success is because of the hundreds of people that took time to support the "little" ride from the park to the fair grounds. Jim and Debbie would be proud!

The 28th annual Bakersfield Toy Run will take place on December 11, 2011. Highlights Video Productions will be the official videographers this year capturing all the sights and sounds of the event. Thousands of motorcycle participants will convene at Beach Park to deliver unwrapped toys and food items to underprivileged families. Then they will make there way back to the Kern County Fairgrounds where there will be food, live music, and door prizes. The Toy Run fed 1,200 famil...ies and distributed 2 toy gifts per family. It is all for a great cause benefiting the Salvation Army Toy & Food Drive.
