New to our Home offerings: the Miso Donabe In cooking with a donobe, the meal that results is regarded as an experience, a craft, a ritual or a ceremony of slow cooking with intention.... Made by the masters, this pot is authentic Iga-Yaki pottery, by Nagatani-en from Iga, Japan. Iga-yaki is one of Japan’s most highly-regarded traditional ceramics, which is said to have originated in the late 7th Century. These pots will quickly become heirlooms and a piece of cookware that will incorporate seamlessly into any well-used kitchen.

This weekend we experimented with baking our new favorite condiment, the preserved Lemon paste from If & when. We made their Lemon Turmeric Tea Cake which was an adaptation of an adaptation of an adaptation of an Alison Roman recipe. The vegan-friendly recipe is now up on the Journal.
