2020 has given 'we appreciate your business' a whole new meaning. This photo was taken at the 1 year anniversary of our new location, and I remember feeling so thankful that we had a successful first year expanding the business. ... As a young business owner, people would tell me 'your first year in business is the hardest'. Well, they hadn't met 2020. This year has been difficult for so many businesses, including ours. However, we have never been more thankful. After being forced to close a third of the year, there are some things you appreciate deeper. Like the privilege of going to work, having loyal clients, working with a great team and doing what you love. While 2020 brought its obstacles, it also brought beautiful perspective

Happy World Esthetician Day Rachel I'd like to share a story with you, about how truly wonderful our esthetician Rachel is. Just last week I answered the spa phone, and heard 7 words back all business owners fear: 'Can I please speak to a manager?'... With a reluctant 'this is she' response, I began to panic. Then the sweetest voice came back through the phone: 'I wanted to call and tell you how much I appreciated my time with Rachel. I told her I enjoyed the facial, but you should know it meant so much more.' It became obvious this wasn't about skincare. 'I have cancer' she openly shared, 'and my surgery is this week'. My heart sank as she continued. 'I was hesitant booking a facial during the pandemic being high risk, but I desperately needed the TLC' She then expressed how comfortable she felt, seeing that Rachel was taking every possible precaution to keep her safe. That even in her vulnerable state, she was at ease removing her mask for her facial, because she got a sense that she could trust Rachel. She further explained that Rachel's compassionate touch helped melt away the stress of her upcoming surgery. That in the days since her session with Rachel, she noticed her anxiety about the medical procedure had lifted, and that she wanted to call and express her gratitude for the care Rachel provided. 'I wanted to tell you that you guys make a difference in peoples lives, and this week you made a difference in mine.'
