At Shiva Sai Mandir we are celebrating Navaratri (the Nine Days of Mother Divine) by honoring Mother Divine in her 10 auspicious forms of the Maha Vidyas the ...Great Embodiments of Knowledge. This is a powerful time to connect to the energies of Mother Divine and the gifts of nature at the change of the season. On Friday, April 12, there will be a fire ceremony to Bagala Mukhi, Destroyer of Falseness, from 6:30-8 pm on April 12. Her name means "One Whose Face Has the Power to Capture or Control." She has a golden complexion and her dress is yellow. She sits in a golden throne in the midst of an ocean of nectar full of lotuses. Bagala Mukhi has the power to stun or paralyze an enemy into silence. She hates and quickly destroys dishonesty, misrepresentation and lies. She has the power to incapacitate and keep from speaking those who tell untruth. She turns speech into silence, knowledge into ignorance, power into impotence and defeat into victory. She is called upon for political cause, legal cause, warfare, removal of curses, extricating one’s self from the power of demons and removing hindrances to success and wealth. On the final day of Navaratri, Sunday, March 14, there will be a culminating celebration (Victory Day) from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Please join us for all or any of our Navaratri Nine-Day observance.
