Things have been busy here at Refuge since the re-opening of our sauna and steam rooms. We want everyone to know that we are fully booked for massage through July 11th. If you are looking to book a massage on our website, please select a date further out so we can best accommodate your reservation.

Our indoor relaxation rooms have opened! In our opinion, it is one of the best ways to end a Thermal Cycle. The rooms are infused with our unique essential oil blend and are home to our famous zero-gravity chairs. It’s that time of the year again. How are you liking the new time change? We’ve just wound our clock forward an hour, so we can expect our biological clocks to be out of sync for a bit. This desync can cause all sorts of uncomfortable side effects like loss of appetite, difficulty sleeping, and disturbances in our mood. Do you enjoy the silence?

Stress can be a powerful thing, but we all have a natural tool within us to combat it. Cardiologist, Dr. Herbert Benson, called it the Relaxation Response. It's the idea that our bodies can elicit a response that can dramatically affect our physiology for the better, slowing our heart rate, blood pressure, and metabolism. This can be done by meditating, doing yoga, using imagery, and of course relaxing at Refuge.

For the longest time, we’ve wanted to do away with plastic water bottles and its effects on the planet and our oceans. Cue Paige McKay’s entrance onto the scene, our resident green pioneer at Refuge. She’s worked long and hard for over a year and a half with the incredible @proudsourcewater team to deliver a beautiful, sustainable water bottle forged from aluminum and bottled with pure Rocky Mountain water. Now, we are proud to announce that the new Refuge water bottles are here. And, boy, are they stunning

We have reduced our capacity in recent months, which has led to something beautiful - true seclusion. Imagine having a Refuge pool all to yourself, the ability to practice social distancing outside, and an outdoor massage in a tent beside a waterfall. Refuge has changed, but in some way for the better.

Did you know we absorb essential nutrients more efficiently when we are relaxed? This helps us fend off disease and infection by fortifying our immune system with the nutrients it needs
