One of our own, Joel McNenny, passed away on May 27th. He facilitated the Woodland Hills Sangha for a few years when it was first located in Tarzana and Reseda at Perfectly Here - Mindfulness for Joy, Well-being and Success. Joel kept the Sangha going until it found a permanent home in Woodland Hills. The work Joel did with Perfectly Here and Manijeh provided a refuge for not only folks in recovery but for the broad community. He provided meditation to kids and families, hel...ping them discover their own potential and path to freedom. His son wrote an obituary which you can find at https://www.obituare.com/joel-bradley-mcnenny-obituary-770/ There is also a link to donate in Joel's dedication to Perfectly Here in his honor. Today marks 60 days (at least since March 16th) of Safer at Home in Los Angeles. There is still a long way to go and more challenges ahead for all of us. Just a reminder help is available if you need it - from the Sangha, from your family/friends, from professionals. On a much lighter note - it is 60 days! We all get a chip for doing what we need to do in this time of need. Recognize and celebrate the ways you've taken care of yourself. Keep on going. ...
