Here is the full segment about this great park! The City says we have to wait longer (4.5 years already) to get a sign for this park, as it falls under some special area. Anyway, enjoy the segment! Click on Reese's photo to see it. http://www.nbclosangeles.com//reeses-retreat-pasadena-disa
Watch the segment tonight at 11:00pm on KNBC Channel 4 in Los Angeles. Thank you Angie Crouch for a great story! https://www.facebook.com/AngieNBCLA/?ref=hl
Join us tonight at the Pasadena City Council Meeting at 6:30pm at City Hall to let the Council know we need a sign for the park!
Bring your children to Reese's Retreat tomorrow (Wesdnesday) at 12pm and you may be on KNBC news! Channel 4 is doing a feature on the park and we need children of ALL abilities to come and enjoy and show everyone just how wonderful the park is!
So, we need your help! Reeses Retreat is the only adaptive park in Pasadena for children of all abilities! It opened 4.5 years ago and it STILL does not have a sign! People only know how to find it if they stumble on it. Imagine all of the families who would enjoy this playground, but will never know it is there. Leave your comments here to share with the City Council or better yet, join us for public comment at the City Council meeting in Pasadena on Monday, November 2nd. We need your voice to get a sign up!
Such a great time of year to enjoy Reese's Retreat with the water features, etc. We are working with the City Council to finally put up some much needed signage!
The water feature at Reese's Retreat is the perfect way for any child, big or small, to cool off this summer! Post your pictures and share your fun with us! Reese loved music, so make some noise with the instruments built into the ship!
Reese's Retreat needs a sign! It seems the City forgot to include it in the plans. Any ideas for signs and placement are welcome!
Please share this (easier to remember) link with your friends. Tell them how wonderful Reese's Retreat is at Brookside Park in Pasadena, CA. Thank you!
Was talking with a friend whose daughter can not walk on her own. She had never played in a park before. She was recently given an electric stander and visited Reese's Retreat for two hours with her cousins! According to her mom, she had an absolute blast and didn't want to leave because she could move around so freely!
Show everyone how wonderful Reese's Retreat really is for children. Snap a photo of you and your loved ones enjoying Reese's Retreat and upload it here.
Everytime we visit the park, there are just tons of smiling, laughing children. It is an incredible sight to see so m any kids enjoying themselves. I have been told it is referred to as Pirate Park or Pirate's Park. Ahoy maties!
