WE ARE OPEN!!! Had call with LA Mayor's Office. LA Teacher's are on strike, but kids need SAFE place to go. We are open at 8am as long as strike continues! . OUR KIDS need us. Let's all do OUR part!... . Thank you to the @mayorofla and Housing Authority of LA (HACLA) for providing breakfast and lunch for EVERY CHILD that comes to the Watts Empowerment Center during the Teacher's Strike. (Some kids only have access to meals this way.) .
