On 1/12/21 Worshipful's Mike Keeler and Andy Rieland delivered a $3,000 donation to the Cottonwood Community Center. The donation was made to help them replace their outdated marquee with a new computer controlled electronic marquee. Shown in the photo l-r is Mike Keeler, and representatives of the center Mary O'Keeffe and Karen Ball - with Andy Rieland handing over the check. A second photo shows the old marquee ~ and the community center has already posted a very nice thank you for Vesper's generosity.
Diane Berry, widow of recently deceased Worshipful Laurence Berry (PM of Olivet Lodge 1966, President of Tehama Shriners in 1968, 50 year member of Masonry, Scottish Rite, Shrine and Eastern Star) drove up to Corning on 1/13 to donate her husband's Masonic possessions to Brother Dean Cofer. In turn the items will be turned over to Vesper Lodge and the Shriners for reuse or historical preservation. Shown in the two photos are 50 years worth of Masonic mementos, including one tux, one tux/tails, one black suit and his TCSC coveralls used for parades back in the 60's. Rest in peace Worshipful Berry.
Hopefully 2021 will be better than 2020? Thus far we're still waiting for signs that it will be!
