while we are definitely still w a i t i n g to 'return to normal', i've been thinking about how we as a society value wealth over well-being. people work over 40 hours per week and 'don't have time' for self care :: cooking nutritious food, enjoying down time (with or without friends), exercise, fresh air, proper rest...what good is all of our 'stuff' if we don't have the fullness and spaciousness within our Selves to actually enjoy it / experience the Here and Now?

as we get back to "busy schedules", let's practice self care by holding on to those moments of spaciousness and quietude in between "doing". "...Tim Harford put it, "Every time we say yes to a request, we are also saying no to anything else we might accomplish with the time.' Once you have committed to something, you have already decided how that future block of time will be spent. In other words, saying no saves you time in the future. Saying yes costs you time in the futu...re. No is a form of time credit." https://www.npr.org//how-to-say-no-for-the-people-pleaser-
