Re:Ciclos believes in the constant: Change. We're gonna win. This auto-cratic society will fold to a ciclo-cratic one. Cycles of good, cycles of responsibility, cycles of love, cycles of humaneness everyday for everyone who wants to participate and even the ones that don't. BELIEVE. http://www.theatlantic.com//absurd-primacy-of-the-/476346/

Re:Ciclos 30.09.2020

Sometimes we're so connected, like magnets. I was in Chicago this past weekend for my mom's 70th birthday. The high was like 10 degrees for the most part, so naturally I was often in a coffee shop seeking warmth. On one such occasion, I was randomly sitting with my sister next to a couple by a window. I could sorta hear their conversation, not that I was listening, but words would pop in and out. At some point the gentleman says something to the effect of, "And the FORK ...FIXTURE stabbed me in the arm as I was wrestling with the fork." ???!!! Fork fixture? No one uses that term but for bicycle frame builders. Naturally I got excited, as this person who did not look super bikey might just be that person I'm supposed to meet. I ask, "Excuse me, did you happen to say Fork Fixture?" A look of WTF returns almost with a question, "Uh, yes." He's looking at me with equal "you don't look very bikey" intrigue. "You build?", I follow. "Yeah ....?" he returns. "Oh, cool, my name is Jimmy Lizama, I'm from L.A. visiting and I'm starting a program where we take old steel bikes and help kids make cargo bikes out of them", I inform. His jaw drops and he's making this expression like he's witnessing leopard slugs mating for the first time and he says, "that's exactly what I do here in Chicago." While I may not believe the universe is watching, I swear the bikey people are connected through metal like antennas. Their project is called Ciclo Urbano and they're in a Puerto Rican neighborhood of Chicago working with youth building, selling and fabricating bikes. It was such a pleasure to meet their staff and take a tour. Inspired to keep it up on our end to put some cargo bikes on the mean 72 degree streets of L.A..

Thanks to Community Services Unlimited, Inc (https://www.facebook.com/CSUINC/?fref=ts) for reaching out to us in collaborating on their youth-powered urban farm bicycle food delivery project! Over the last month we've been helping them build up a small fleet of food-delivery bicycles and will be fabricating a cargo bike for them very soon .... stay tuned! Re:Ciclos 27.08.2020

Santy Claws came through for Re:Ciclos! A new tap set from Tommy Lewis, a long-time supporter and purveyor of all matters bicycle in Los Angeles. And! And! And, there's a TIG welder in transit from the bay area (on loan) to the program!!! So yes, 2016 is looking like a year of building. Thank you all for your support and those who already use cargo bikes to solve a huge problem in L.A.. Happy Holidays!
