Gilroy folks, I have a question. I've seen an increase in social media posts and received many emails with concerns about the year around- and dangerous- use of illegal fireworks. Illegal fireworks pose a danger to us physically and are a huge fire danger, especially under these climate conditions. Our police and fire departments work hard to educate folks about these dangers, and cite folks who they can catch in the act, but the problem persists. My question is, what ...do you think can be done, and how can we do it? Do we make the penalties stiffer? Do we reward folks $ who report their neighbors? Please share your thoughts and ideas for solutions! See more
