#Homebuying is a tricky process. And without proper guidance and knowledge, it’s easy to make mistakes. Here are a few to watch out for: Looking at homes before applying for a #mortgage - Yes, it seems like mortgages come after everything, but you actually risk losing the property if you aren’t preapproved Being careless with #credit - Credit will be your saving grace when it comes to financing your home. Make sure to always pay your bills on time and practice good credit card habits. Letting your emotions dictate your choices - Buying a home is a huge deal, but remember that this is also a huge #investment. Choices need to be thought through rationally. When selling a house, one of the most important things to AVOID is setting too high of a price for your home. You may have a lot of pride in your home (and rightfully so!), but asking for a price that is well beyond your home’s market value can really hurt your chances of selling your house in a timely fashion. This is also why #RealEstateAgents can be helpful: they will help you do some market research and offer suggestions on a realistic price.

What if there was one simple hack that would immediately make your home feel and look more up-to-date? ...Oh, there is one! Updating your light fixtures Yep! It’s that simple. And the project doesn\'t even require you to have a savings account. Give some of these DIY tricks a try: Update your lamp shade covers by using some fabric that you like (or ribbon), a glue gun, and some fabric scissors. Take any outdated, brassy chandelier and spray paint it with some metallic or matte all-surface paint. You can do this with a lampstand as well. Create your own lamp using a coffee tin for the shade and a mason jar as the stand. Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box since that will save you lots of money in the end while still upping your decor-game. What brilliant tactics have you used to update the light fixtures in your home?
