Hope is commonly used to mean a wish : its strength is the strength of the person's desire. But in the Bible hope is the confident expectation of what God has promised and its strength is in His faithfulness. A semicolon is used when an author could’ve chosen to end their sentence, but chose not to. The author is you and the sentence is your life.

It is with heavy heart that we inform you that Richard Main passed away in his sleep on Saturday, Feb 10th. Although his passing is a sudden shock to us, we are... confident that he did so peacefully in the comfort of his own bed. He is survived by two sons, Cy Main and Josiah Main; two grandchildren, Matthew and Cassidy Main; a sister, Patricia Gaffney-Kindig; a brother, JD Main; and a life partner, Ralph Nino. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 17th at 2:00pm to 4:00pm at his home church of Hope International Bible Fellowship located at 4903 Fountain Avenue, Los Angeles, California 90029.
