Meet Captain Carl Azevedo AKA "Bocci Boy", who grew up fishing with his father on the family’s little skiff out on San Francisco Bay. After a move to Santa Cruz and a detour working for many years as a garbage truck driver (eventually managing the department), Carl decided to quit 5 years prior to retirement and focus on his passion for fishing full-time. On his boat, the FV Bocci Boy, he mostly fishes for salmon and rockfish and is well known in the harbor for catching and selling live bait for recreational and commercial fishermen. When he’s not fishing, you can find him most days at the end of S Dock.
