We had an amazing time creating feelings charts in our virtual art time today! I love engaging in art with the kiddos, seeing their work and hearing their thoughts/ ideas. Many people may not be aware the Department of Education recommends preschool age children learn self awareness with an understanding of how they feel so they can be taught constructive ways to process. Dear prospective and current members, Ready, Set, Grow! Preschool has worked around the clock to provide an all inclusive distance learning plan for the upcoming school year. We are beginning the school year with a modfied distance learning plan until we are permitted to be back on site. We realize how challenging these times are and how difficult distance learning can be especially for young children. In addition we will be expanding the age range of children we serve. As p...er our licensing allowance we will now be accepting students for this program to 2- 6 years of age. Our mission is to offer families a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with the recommendations from the Department of Education. Our developmental philosophy encompasses teaching the whole child rather than being solely academic-based. We offer 3 different tracks that will vary in cost. We are committed to keeping our program affordable. 2 of the 3 tracks are not solely online for example: bi-monthly one on one (family to teacher) home or on site visits complying within the guidelines and age appropriate community service in person (as permitted). Included in our curriculum is: Monthly art: Science, number/letter recognition and early writing/reading skills Cultural education and appreciation Creative art Ecology Community service Online socialization Mindfulness practices Virtual circle and art time Monthly sensory bins Access to our youtube channel along with other online platforms Kindergarten readiness We are also offering: As mentioned above, one on one home or on site visits bimonthly to track students progress, support the family and offer modifications if needed. Individualized parent/ child behavior support plans Parent support group Assistance in tutoring siblings ages 2-6 Online resources for parent education Virtual socialization for parents Please stay tuned as we finalize our plan on July 28th at our next board meeting. We will post a detailed description of each track along with tuition cost. We are so excited to share! We have brainstormed to best meet the needs of our students/ families within the guidelines of our required safety protocol. As guidelines shift, we will adapt, focusing on the needs of our membership. Our mission is to not only educate the whole child but also to deepen the relationship within the family as we grow together. We are fiercely committed to fostering and preserving the much needed sense of community. The best part is you do not have to live locally to join our preschool family! Virtual circle time is in full swing! Yes silly faces are necessary

What happens when our little preschool is closed for the time being but we’re still family so that’s not a thing? Three and four year olds shouldn’t have to wrap their heads around a pandemic that drastically changes their everyday life. This is such a formative time for them. Tomorrow our parents will get 3 weeks of prepped art, instructional videos, story time videos and we are starting virtual circle time this week. We got this. #developmentallearning #community
