Redwood City’s Annual Spring Cleanup Day is on April 28! The cleanup is sponsored by Redwood City and its Pride and Beautification Committee. So grab your friends, kids, and neighbors and head on down to the City’s Public Works Services building on April 28 for a day of giving back to our community. Scott Doyon shares his opinions about the relationship between well-planned communities and raising children in Smart Growth = Smart Parenting. He points out that there are not enough good neighborhoods to affordably meet a demand that will grow over time. He says, Want to do right by your kids? Then cuddle up with your councilperson until they see the value of compact, mixed-use, walkable, kid-friendly neighborhoods and bake a plate of cookies for the first developer who shows up to build it. We couldn’t help but smile at that last part!
