God is doing a good work in your life. From the moment you are saved until you stand before Jesus on the last day, God is at work in your life. It may be hard to see it or comprehend it but be rest assured that He is at work. Joseph’s life did not look as if it was going anywhere but God was at work in his life. Likewise in your life, it may seem that life is just filled with random challenges but trust me, there is a master plan and a Master Builder who is building according... to that master plan. At the right time, that good work will be revealed and God will be glorified. One more thing you must hold on to is that God always finishes what He starts. There may be times in your life when it seems as if God has abandoned the good work he is doing in your life but that is never true. I am sure that when David was fleeing from Saul, there were times when he wondered if he will ever be king. However, in the fullness of time, the work that God was doing in David’s life was revealed. Whatever the season you are in now, hold on to this truth; God will perfect every good work he has begun in you in Jesus name. God bless and keep you.

In the midst of the hustle and bustle that typically accompanied Jesus as he walked the streets, the cry Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me caught Jesus’ attention and caused Him to stop. Why did Jesus stop at this cry? There must have been other beggars on the streets crying for alms. There were two unique things about this cry that caught Jesus’ attention. First of all, Bartimaeus called Jesus the son of David. This was not an accident or coincidence. In calling Jes...us the son of David, Bartimaeus was publicly proclaiming that he believed that Jesus was the promised messiah who scripture had said would be the son of David. Secondly, Bartimaeus’ cry was a cry for mercy. The cry for mercy from a sincere and believing heart is one that God finds hard to resist. It will always catch His attention. Mercy is the foundation upon which everything else we receive from God is built upon. Without mercy, we cannot even approach Him, talk less of asking Him for anything. Mercy will cause Him to stop for you and to ask what you want Him to do for you. You may then ask what you desire on the platform of mercy. Why don’t you lift up your voice today and cry out like Bartimaeus Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me! May the Lord have mercy on you today and grant you your heart’s desire in Jesus name. Weariness can set in when we are doing good particularly if we do not see an immediate return on the good we are doing. We may be tempted to compare ourselves with those who are not doing good but seem to be getting ahead. We may wonder whether all our forbearance and sacrifice is worth it. Our scripture for today assures us that it is well worth it. Whether you see it or not, there is a lot that is being accomplished by the good you are doing. Just as when a farmer sows a se...ed, for many weeks nothing seems to be happening but beneath the ground and out of the sight of ordinary eyes there is a whole lot going on. Soon enough the seed comes out of the earth as a plant or tree and its fruitfulness can no longer be hidden. Likewise, it may seem now that nobody sees or recognizes the good you are doing. Your Heavenly Father sees and He is using the good you are doing to work His purposes in ways you cannot comprehend. Soon enough, you will begin to reap the reward of the good that you have done. Until then, May the Lord strengthen and encourage you by His Spirit so that you will not grow weary in Jesus name. God bless and keep you.
