Beyond grateful to all of the firefighters, local dozer crew heroes and all those that have done above and beyond to keep so many of us out of harms way. We will not be having our normal take out pizza night tomorrow, Friday, August 28th, 2020 so that we can focus our baking efforts towards fire crews, local dozer crews and those in need. We will also not be present at the Occidental Farmers Market on Friday or the Saturday Santa Rosa Farmers Market for the safety of my crew.... Hopefully, we will be at the Sunday Markets in Bodega Bay and Sebastopol, air quality permitting. Please everyone be safe and kind out there, Much love, - Mark, family & crew

KNEAD YEAST? I am still hearing from so many that they are not able to find yeast in stores. And now my suppliers have not been able to send me any more yeast for the past couple weeks.... I believe Naomi Ananda still has two pounds still ready to be sent out so if you know her please let her know if you are in need. You can message me your address and I can forward it to her. Thank you so much, Naomi, for coming out to pick it up the other week and helping me to still support people in this way. I can also have sourdough starter (the best yeast there is) left in bags out in front of the bakery. Just message me and I can arrange a time for it. With sourdough starter, I have a fairly limitless supply! Again, there is no need to pay me anything. It's entirely my gift. Today's breads going off to the amazing community at Fort Ross making meals for those in need and homebound, 200 to Council for Aging for Meals on Wheels, 80 off to St Francis and Bill's Taxi for delivering boxes to Russian River homebound families and individuals, and 80 multigrain whole wheat heading to Food for Thought in Forestville. Thank you, Sonoma Family Meals Cesar Romero, Leticia Romero, Pam Wilen, Blossom Lievore, Elise A VanDyne, Cassidy Jourdan, Marina Hamer and Suzy Nguyen for helping with bagging, pick ups, plastic bags, and organizing these incredibly kind-hearted organizations!

Beyond humbled being mentioned on the front page of the Sunday paper today. I am in shock. There are so many people doing so much.... I can't even begin to list them all... My crew of Cesar Romero and Leticia Romero who help shape, bag and deliver. Irene Rain Johnson who puts so much love into the pastries. And Sonoma County Meals who work with Lynda Hopkins and Elise A VanDyne to create local funding for small food businesses such as us to keep our crew employed and utilit...ies paid. And countless heros in food banks, schools, charities and shelters. It's an honor to be doing my small part helping Redwood Empire Food Bank, Catholic Charities, Meals on Wheels, Fort Ross School, Bodega Bay Grange, Food for Thought, Waves of Compassion, Santa Rosa and Sebastopol Farmers Markets, Corazon, Windsor Alliance Food Pantry and others.
