Our hearts and thoughts go out to all those affected by the fires. For those who love Mendocino County, the Mendocino County Community Foundation is providing a...ssistance to trusted community service organizations. Click below to donate. We have received so many inquiries about the impact of these fires on the Coast. We want to assure you that the Mendocino Coast is Clear - the fires are far inland, east of the Russian River. Routes to the coast are unaffected and the Coast remains a refuge from urban congestion and inland heat. Last Fall, visitors turned away from Mendocino and other destinations associated with fires deeply affecting our communities which depend on visitors. Lumber mills are closed and logging, fishing, and the small manufacturers are gone. Your support of your favorite Mendocino Coast destinations is vitally needed. Last Fall's fires caused many to avoid visiting and we hope you will come now. Please support your favorite destinations. Walk along the coast, through the Forest. Bike, paddle, indulge in a massage, shop, dine watch sunsets after the fog has cleared. Our local economy depends on your support...Thanks everyone.
