When great people create great things. Rant & Rave co-creator John Pollono once again brings us together for a gut punch of a story. First seen onstage Rogue Machine, Small Engine Repair now a feature film, with its darkness, its violence and its humor shines a light on how we can be better to each other. Superb performances, skillful direction and killer writing. https://youtu.be/GSSeody1AYU

Gird your blue-veined loins motherf*cker. There are SO many ways to step on your dick Rant & Rave @ Home in October has something for all activists, slacktivists and textivists.. Veteran and famous actor, Tucker Smallwood has a message to share that involves the hubris in youth, perspective in aging and finally, a call to action. NSFW Rant & Rave writers Felicia Michaels and Jessica Wellington host a podcast The Liars Club at the comedy store and some of the juiciest R rated stories end up as animated shorts.

Rant & Rave writer Carol Schlanger's memoir is a great read during a time when economic challenges have a lot of people curious about the dos and don'ts of forming a workable collective.

Dunroamin Tour 7.0 Day 39: 550 miles, Total on this tour 8367, Total since March 35,668. After a night of dystopian dreams, woke up in Caliente NV to find tha...t the internet was off. Fine, didn’t want to do the crossword anyway, and can prob figure out the weather by looking out the window. Showered, dressed, walked to The Shady Inn office to get some coffee. Turns out I’m about the only guest at The Shady who’s not a Utah firefighter coming back from fighting the California fires. Out the door at 7am, and go to fill up The Beast at the local Sinclair - and the card doesn’t work. Apparently the internet is out all over town. Meh, no prob, still have about 70 miles and the GPS tells there’s gas about 50 miles down the road. So off I go. Few things better than riding alone in the desert early in the morning with the sun at your back. Up over 317, and realize that the road to Tonopah (yes that boring drunk of a town again - there’s only so many roads in Nevada) splits off to the left 5 miles before the gas station. Now as you know I hate to backtrack. I actually have a real reluctance to head to that Shell, even though at the speed I’m going it’s literally seven minutes out of my way there and back. Toy with the idea of trying to make it to...Hey Ronald, what are you, some kind of ? ARRIGHT, Enough Dad! Fill up with Shell gas, then make it back to the junction with Rte. 375 long before 8am. Good idea to fill up, Dad, credit where it’s due, because the next filling station is apparently quite a long way away... So it’s the long haul on 375, otherwise known as the Extra-Terrestrial Highway for its proximity to Area 51, past The Little Alie-Inn and past any number of ET-themed trailer parks. All the signs warning of Free Range Cattle are riddled with bullet holes. Quite honestly, if creatures were to visit our planet this would be the ideal place for them to come. Very very few people or cattle around, and those that are around seem a) really open to some probing and b) drunk, stoned, or hungover, and hence absolutely useless as witnesses. Come over a steep escarpment into a 90 mph descending right hander and pass a couple of pick up trucks parked about twenty yards off the highway on the scrub, two guys in one-piece hazmat suits and masks have set up a table the size that four aunts might play Bridge upon, and are conducting an Alien autopsy. Since I’m doing 90 I pass them in a second. WAIT! WHAT?! I try to process what I think I’ve just seen, and bit by bit realize that the wet bloody lump they’re working on must have been a still-born calf. It simply must have been. Still wondering about that an hour later as I coast down the hill towards Tonopah, but then I start to focus on thick brown cloud over California in the distance. Normally the charmlessness of Tonopah is mitigated by the sight of the Sierras in the distance. But not today. California, what have you done while I was away?? Glad I’m turning south on 95 south. Gas up again, and head towards Death Valley. Into the park south of Beatty NV, drop the $25 to ride through the 106 degrees below sea level, then up the hill to the Panamint Hwy. Today seems to be all about being the only human as far as the eye can see. Down past the familiar dry chemical lake ghost town of Trona, then past the old gold mining towns of Johannesburg and Randsburg (you get one guess) and onto the 14 south. Always a bit bracing to file back into LA-style traffic after five weeks away, but I soon adjust to using all lanes to dodge and weave past all the drivers arbitrarily traveling in all lanes between 60 and 100mph. Off at Sand Canyon for the familiar 20 miles of hairpin twisties, and before I know it The Beast has found its way home. Tomorrow a day to pause and reflect, go to Dodger Stadium for a plague test, review the map to see if there’s anywhere left to go in 8.0, and make a plan. A plan. Any plan. Could use an Acting job. These commercials aren’t going to run forever. This last tour was really fun, not least because I got to spend quality time with old friends. Yes you Timothy, Augusta, Kathryn, Michael, Peter, Saul and Diane. Let’s do this again. See more
