Thanks to the Smart Alert Mobile notification from Alexa, they arrived just in time to save their loved puppy and call 911. "Because we can all benefit from good news during these hard times, I wanted to share this story. An Amazon delivery driver delivered more than packages this summer as he jumped into a pool to rescue a drowning dog - delivering the gift of life. The driver, John Cassabria, from Woburn, Massachusetts, took no time to remove his wallet, phone, or watch, but instead jumped in to help an animal in need. The owners had left on vacation earlier that day, and the dog sitter had not yet arrived. The dog was a 14-year-old pup who doesn’t normally swim, but is thought to have gone in after a bone caught in the pool’s vacuum. John is grateful he was in the right place, at the right time to help the animal in need. " #goodnews #driversdoinggood #saveanimals

Remember the woman who spilled hot coffee on her lap and sued McDonald’s (winning a ton of money) and resulting in the company adding a caution label to their hot beverage cups? Even as an eCommerce seller - whether you are selling your own products or reselling - you need proper liability insurance to ensure that in the event the product is defective or causes actual damage to a consumer or their property - you have someone to fight the battle for you. As your company grows, you need to consider if you would rather shell out a small amount of money for insurance - or the possibility of millions in lawsuits over the course of time. The choice is yours. #liabilityinsurance #amazonsellers #worthit

Amazon is running out of warehouse space. With over 100 J.C.Penney and Sears retail stores closing up shop - will the eCommerce giant overtake the space for fulfillment purposes? There have been talks between Amazon and Simon Property Group about using the space to be closer to local customers and have the ability to have drivers come to pick up packages and speed delivery rates. While it is unclear exactly how many stores are closing and how much space is available, the opportunity would prove mutually beneficial to Simon as it would give them a steady tenant in their ever-changing mall space. Fitness start-up Echelon said in a press release this week that it had built a stationary bike in collaboration with Amazon. Branded the Prime Bike, the fitness equipment is said to rival Peloton, but at a much cheaper price. However, this week, the eCommerce giant spoke out against the bike and claimed the product had nothing to do with Prime or the Amazon brands. The brand’s product page is still on Amazon but is not able to be ordered at this time. Echelon plans to continue to make the bikes and work out the branding later - as the first batch sold out quickly. Learn more about the bike and the involvement - or lack thereof - with Amazon here: #amazonfitness #primebike #pelotonknockoff
