Hello RPLL Nation - we need you! As we get closer to launching our season, one of the main activities needed to form teams is our Assessments Day (aka tryouts). As you know, RPLL is run entirely by volunteers and in these unusual times, we are running short of the volunteer help needed for assessments. If you have time available this weekend, we need you! Go to the sign up link below and see the times and volunteer positions needed. You don't have to be a baseball expert to ...volunteer and we will provide training onsite. Players can volunteer with adults, so you can make this a family event. You can sign up for as many different time slots as you'd like. Also, high school/middle school kids who need volunteer hours can come out too and we will sign off on your volunteer hours. All volunteers will be temperature checked and given hand sanitizer. Also, we feed our volunteers! While we were hoping to be able to have games for Spring 2021 start in early March, current indicators in California have prompted the Board of Directors to look at potentially pushing these out past early March. This has pushed other dates out, including keeping registration open longer and pushing assessments back. WE WILL HAVE A SPRING 2021 SEASON; however, we want to be flexible and set ourselves and our players up for the best season it can be. It is important to us to ...offer our community the opportunity to play baseball this Spring, even if we begin with practices and scrimmages before we are able to get to games. At this time, we anticipate a delay of several weeks with forming teams. NEW DATES: *Registration is now open through January 31, 2021. Any player registered after this date will incur a $50 late fee and may be placed on a waitlist. *Assessments are TBD, we will notify families as soon as they are scheduled. *Opening Day is TBD.
