Our Biane Bookstore at Victoria Gardens is opening!! On Tuesday August 11th we will be opening our Biane Bookstore on a limited basis. The bookstore will be open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays 10:00 A.M. to 5:45 P.M.... Masks are required as well as social distancing to enter the bookstore. Only 3 customers are allowed in at one time, so there is a limit of 15 minutes per visit. If you are unable to wear a mask, please wait to visit us until we are back to normal operations. Our number one priority is the health and safety of our volunteers, and our wonderful customers. As we move forward, conditions to open or close remain fluid, and time and dates may change. We will always keep you updated. All books and items have been quarantined and sanitized. Our bookstore volunteers will be sanitizing throughout the day. We will have a wonderful selection of books, magazines, CD's, DVD's, puzzles and more. We will have lots of Star Wars books and items that we would have had at the Star Wars event, also coffee table books and kids activities. See you at the Biane Bookstore!
We hope this post finds you all well. Our bookstores continue to be closed during this difficult time. We are working closely with library staff to be able to open safely when the time is right. We will keep you posted on any updates as they are available.... At this time, we are unable to accept any donations at either bookstore. We have no Friends volunteers to process donations, and library staff is very limited and unable to handle any donations. We ask that you please keep your donations until we can accept them again. We will need them at that time. Please do not drop donations off at either library at the doors, and do not drop them in the library return bins. We thank you for your past support and your support during this time. We miss being at the bookstores and we are staying positive that we will be back in business serving our community and libraries soon.
Good news for our community! Hopefully in the next several weeks our bookstore at Archibald can reopen also.

After careful consideration and out of an abundance of caution, the Friends of the Library Executive Committee, today voted to close both of our bookstores due to concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The closure begins Monday, March 16th. Our plan, at this point is to reopen Monday, April 6th. We will keep our customers updated if this time frame changes. Both the Archibald Library and the Biane Library are still open. See you soon!
We were invited to the City Council Meeting to present a check representing the $140,000.00 we donated to the RCPL in 2019. Another successful year for the Rancho Cucamonga Friends of the Library. Thanks to all our hardworking volunteers, our generous community, our City Council members who keep our mission alive, and our great Library staff members who support us everyday. Karen Howard, Janet Wilson Ludolph, Clara Curry and Lorene Chang presented the check.
We have winners! Allison (left) and Shelly took home our beautiful Valentine's baskets. Congratulations.
In observance of President's Day, we will be closed next Monday, February 17.
Our Valentine's Basket's are out at both stores! They are full of fun stuff for your Valentine (or yourself). Come into either bookstore and buy a sucker for $1.00 and get a chance to win. Drawing will be held February 11th. Need not be present to win. See you at the bookstores!
