We will be closed Christmas eve and Christmas day. We will be open Sunday and Monday with a limited selection of produce. We will be open Thursday and Friday (December 30 and 31) with a full selection of everything. We will be closed New Years Day, And then we will be back to our normal Thursday to Monday, 9 to 5. Local peaches!!! They are insanely good. The first of several batches from this grower. We also have fresh nectarines. And soon... Plums!!!

Happy Sunday! I took this picture yesterday to send to one of our suppliers who is very late on an order - I cleared the shelf in advance and now it is impatiently awaiting our pickled goods. But this is a good opportunity to shine a light on some of our offerings that don't typically get into the spotlight:... We sell books. We sell jewelry. We sell clothing. ...and pottery and knick-knacks and gloves and scarves. Also: Hot sauce, barbecue sauce, molasses, oils and vinegars. Plus: Gluten free pastas, cookies, baking mixes, crackers and chips. It's local avocado season!! These are called Surprise avocados - they are huge and have tiny pits! We also have freshly picked Fuerte avocados from Santa Ysabel, Bacon avocados from Pauma Valley and a few Haas as well. But the Haas have been coming on for months now. It's time for the exotics!!... We have no electricity. But we have figs! I can't heat your house or turn on your power. But we can offer you some distractions along with some nutrition. And we have lemons for lemonade.... We will be closing at 4 today as it gets dark in the store fairly early these days, and we will close at 4 tomorrow and Saturday if the power is still out. Right now SDGE says Sunday.
