When you adopt a puppy, it is a responsability towards the poor puppy. Joey-ID 150089, was only a puppy when he got adopted on 2019. He was then, re-homed by ...his adopter within a months of adoption. Joey came into the shelter and reclaimed later in 2020. Now Joey was turned into the shelter because he was aggressive towards other animals. Even though they had him for more than a year. We tested him with another dog and he seemed unsure but not aggressive. He wants to play but he doesn’t know how. What we believe is that he was tossed in the backyard and not walked or socialized with other pets. Dogs are social animals and need the constant interaction with other dogs and people. Joey has so much potential but no one has given him the time of day. He has been a very playful sweet dog while in our care. If you can give him a chance, he will be a good companion. BOTH RECLAIMED BY OWNER RESCUE ONLY BONDED PAIR. MUST GO TOGETHER!... This poor girl 183647 and guy 183646 came in extremely terrified. They wouldn’t let the shelter staff touch them and would bark as a warning. Two of shelter staffs were able to finally gain their trust to get them out to the play yard together. Being in an unfamiliar familiar place with barking dogs can be scary. As you can see they are very sweet and very playful. They just need some time to gain some trust and confidence. The shelter has estimated the female shepherd age as two years old weighing 75 pounds. The male shepherd is 3 years old weighing 79 pounds. The male shepherd is pretty mellow and the female is very bonded with the male and goes a little nuts without him. We would like to keep them together. This handsome boy is Nash 107924 who was surrendered to the shelter for having high anxiety. They also recently moved and had a baby . The previous owners trie...d rehoming Nash but that didn’t work so here he is back at the shelter . He was adopted from Ramona Humane Society 4 years ago as a puppy. Nash is a Boxer/Lab mix who is 4 1/2 years old weighing 100 pounds. The previous owners said Nash is potty trained, loves people, kids of all ages and other dogs. He can play rough with other dogs and cats are unknown. Nash knows commands, loves car rides, slept indoors but not a fan of water. It sounds like Nash is a wonderful dog who just needs a person who works from home or has a family who will spend lots of time with him. Nash will need some help so please share. The only known family he knew is now gone and he’s in an unfamiliar place which mostly likely isn’t the best situation for a dog with anxiety .
