Take a short drive from Ramona Oaks RV Resort to the Sutherland Dam; the unique and dramatic architecture alone is worth it. A short hike takes you from a small dirt turnout by the side of the road to the top of the dam. The hike features a long dirt paths and some stairs cases, leading to the top of the damn and around some of the dam’s best features.

Last night was our chili and apple pie cook off. We had a really good turn out with some great chili and delicious apple pies. We had awards for both the best chili and the pie. We had a 5 judges who had the fun job of deciding the results! We had a Julian pie in the mix to make it interesting. Last weekend was our Halloween costume party, turn out was low because of the high winds in the area, but it was a fun time, with a few people in costumes. Thanks to all who came out for the fun!
