It was all good just a year ago. Opening Night @city_theatre. @powerkeni ‘s One Night in Miami. Our run ended just before the start of 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic. Eternally grateful for that experience pre lock down. What a difference a year makes. No idea when theaters will be able to thrive again as they once did but I’m looking forward to it.

One of the silver linings this tragic pandemic has afforded has been increased time for self reflection. A part of that self reflection had me rethink where my dollars are being spent. As much as I love my big brands....What are you saying if you don’t support your day 1s? I love being a BLACK man, I will never be more proud of anything and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The confidence, strength, power I exude is because of where WE come from. Even through all the pain and mourning the deaths of my brothers and sisters I can still Smile because they will never be forgotten and they WILL NOT die in vain. Black lives matter all across the globe. Seeing so many people fighting in so many ways to combat injustice , racial inequality and poli...ce brutality makes me hopeful of where we can go as a unified people. I feel like something is different this time. Keep that same energy.... A Change gone come as a wise man once sang.... But yeah challenge accepted. Stay up my people. I am a black man I build I don’t tear down other black men! I have felt the pain of being torn down and I have decided I will be deliberate about building others! If I didn’t tag you, please don’t be offended. I tried to pick people I thought would do this challenge!! All too often, we men find it easier to criticize each other instead of building each other up. With all the negativity going around let’s do something positive!!
