We salute our frontline caregivers who were among the first in the United States to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at Providence St. Joseph Health, Northern California. Thank you for caring for our community, for your unrelenting sacrifice, and for leading the way as role models in a year like no other.

This year, Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, marking the time when clocks fall back and we gain an extra hour of sleep. Remember to change your clocks, and while you’re at it, check the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to help keep you and your family safe at home.

Halloween may look different this year due to COVID-19, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a safe and fab-boo-lous time! Community members and our caregivers are invited to a drive-through and touchless trick or treat event from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, around the Herman Pavilion roundabout. Goody bags will be delivered to passengers in the cars in a touchless fashion while respecting social distancing and COVID safety guidelines. More details: http://provhealth.org/6186GC5re

As we near the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2020, we wanted to send a final reminder about the importance of screening. Research has shown that breast cancer screening with mammography has been found to detect cancer early, when it is most treatable. If you are a woman over 40, please take this opportunity to schedule your annual mammogram. To make an appointment, call our central scheduling service at (833) 789-6802.
