St. John Catholic Church in Chico is under construction! A stained glass window once stood as the centerpiece of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish, catching the eyes of all who sat in the wooden pews. Cylindrical columns and wide arches presented a Romanesque design, reflective of European cathedrals. PWC along with BCM Construction were asked to restore some of the architectural integrity of the original design. In 1967 the church underwent renovation and dismantled the stained glass window and replaced it with a plain wall. Curves were replaced with straight lines to give it a modern look at the time.
