We are so excited to welcome Laura back to our teaching staff + community! For those of you who don’t know Laura, she was part of our original team before moving to Seattle and brings some serious to the studio! Below is a little hello from Laura herself: Originally from Canada, Laura Ann Smyth is beyond excited to be returning to Southern California after spending the past 3 years in Seattle, WA working as an Assistant Professor of Dance at Cornish College of the Arts.... Laura received her MFA in Dance from the University of California, Irvine and is currently pursuing her PhD in Dance Studies at Texas Woman's University. For the past 8 years, when not on stage dancing professionally or or pursuing her dreams as an academic scholar, Laura has been taking, teaching and loving everything Pure Barre! Laura began teaching Pure Barre in 2012 at Pure Barre Beverly Hills and taught for several other studios in Los Angeles for 5 years. She has been teaching Pure Barre at 5 locations in the greater Seattle area for the past 3 years and is so excited to be rejoining the team at Pure Barre Marina Del Rey. When not dancing, studying or teaching, Laura can be found on her Beach Cruiser with her husband Danny ... sometimes their 10 pound dog Crush comes along as well! @ Marina del Rey, California See more
