AMAZING as of Friday, $10,480 has been donated to our Puma Pledge! Our Foundation raises money each year to support programs that are not provided by the district. In the past, our Foundation provided funds for a music teacher, PE teacher, Computer Resource Teacher, Impact/Intervention Teacher, Chromebooks, Assembly Programs, classroom supplies, and more! The provided funds for our beautiful school murals and our electronic marquee. This year, the Foundation has pledged t...o provide $50,000 to our school to support teacher and staff priorities to ensure student success in this new world we are navigating. 100% of your Puma Pledge goes into supporting our school. Thank you to everyone who participated in the recent HARVEST AUCTION, sponsored by our Foundation. Congratulations to the winners of the various products, services, and school items! You will see birthday wishes, purchased by our community, posted on the marquee near the MPR each month, starting in November. ... Two parking spaces in our parking lot are identified as Foundation Auction Winner spaces and are reserved at all times for the family who made this purchase, starting on November 2.

RHES Pumas you are encouraged to wear ORANGE AND BLACK to school tomorrow to celebrate Halloween! Costumes are not allowed at school. There is a way, however, to share your Halloween costume with your friends! ... Also, looking to show off your Halloween costume or pumpkin carving skills? With the success of our Pumpkin Palooza event this year, the Foundation has decided to continue the Halloween fun! RHES will be having a virtual pumpkin carving contest AND costume contest! As in years past, the categories for the pumpkin carving contest and costume contest will be: 1. Cutest 2. Most Puma Pride 3. Spookiest 4. Funniest 5. Most creative Please submit pictures of your carved pumpkins or children in costume, or BOTH via email to: [email protected] by TODAY, Sunday, November 1 at 12 pm. The pictures will be assembled into a collage that will be sent out to the school to vote on! (Please note: Your child's name will not be used in the photograph.)

This coming week is RED RIBBON WEEK! The theme for this national focus week is: Be happy. Be brave. Be drug free. Monday, 10/26, is Pledge Day! Students will receive a red ribbon from their teachers to wear throughout the week. All students may stop by the front gates at AM and PM dismissal (available from 10:30-10:45 and 2:15-2:30), pick up a red ribbon, and tie the ribbon along the Penasquitos Drive fence! (Fence in front of the Welcome to Rolling Hills mural, please)... Tuesday, 10/27, celebrate: A happy me is drug free! Wear crazy hair or silly hat. (All students OC, VL, and PHEP) Thursday, 10/28, celebrate: Turn your back on drugs! Wear your shirt backwards. (All students OC, VL, and PHEP)

REMINDER today is picture day! Parents of students in Preschool through 5th grade, please sign up for a time slot/appointment if you haven’t done so already. Bring your child(ren) to the Multipurpose Room for their annual picture. Home School, Virtual Learning, and On Campus students should all participate! https://signup.com/go/nVqHsGb We are hoping to fill every slot so that your child is photographed by a LifeTouch professional photographer! ... We do not have a make-up day/event scheduled. If you are unable to attend today Saturday, October 24 and you want your child's photo in our yearbook, you will need to send a headshot picture (neutral background) to our yearbook coordinator. Contact information will be shared soon. Social distancing and Covid-19 protocols will be followed, please. Masks are required to enter the MPR although they will be removed for the photo.
